Doors designed for YOUR home…
As with our windows, we offer an equally wide range of residential entrance doors along with sliding patio, bi-folding and French doors.
PVCu and Composite Doors
A range of residential doors are available to match our PVCu windows with the option of using solid-core composite doors. A wide range of finishes is available throughout - from traditional hues through to bold contemporary colours - come in to see what we can do for you…
PVCu Residential
Our standard residential door is the perfect companion to our chamfered and sculptured windows. Suitable for front and rear entrances and exits. All doors have the same high energy-saving and security levels and are as easy to maintain as our windows.
PVCu French Doors
Slim or wide, French doors are the original patio doors and allow for medium-width openings.
PVCu Stable Door
Despite their rural heritage, stable doors offer practical entry and exit for your home - great for ventilation and ideal with small children and pets.
PVCu Sliding Patio
PVCu sliding patio doors are a more affordable option to aluminium with a slightly wider door frame being the main difference aesthetically.
Solid-core Composite
Unlike most composite doors on the market today, we use the same low maintenance, coloured GRP outer skins but with a solid timber ply construction rather than the weaker, lightweight foam filling.
Aluminium Doors
Aluminium first made a countrywide appearance in the 1970’s - unfortunately, the metallic construction was it’s downfall, and ‘bridged’ the cold from outside directly indoors which lead to widespread condensation resulting in mould and dampness. Contemporary aluminium windows have a thermoplastic break which means the cold won’t conduct from outside and your heat won’t escape from inside. Aluminium’s inherent strength mean the windows and doors can be produced slimmer than their PVCu counterparts - more light comes in and a wider view back out.
Aluminium Door
Aluminium residential entrance doors offer all the security you would expect from a metal door but without the excessive weight of solid hardwoods or steel security doors.
Aluminium Sliding Patio
As with the rest of our aluminium products, the patio doors are slim and secure with effortless sliding hardware for ease of access and exit.
Aluminium Bi-Fold
The only bi-folding doors we recommend are aluminium - the number of precision moving parts are well-suited to the engineered aluminium doors and frame. Designed for performance with years of reliability ahead.
Patio Doors
There are three principal door systems for patios and gardens - traditional French doors in PVCu and Aluminium, the sliding patio door, also in PVCu and Aluminium or, the more recent addition of the aluminium sliding, bi-folding doors
French Doors
The original ‘occasional’ entrance to your garden was merely a pair of residential doors that interlocked. With the addition of sidelights and even fanlights, a wall of glass can easily be created and in a design suited to period properties. Simpler, larger doors are more suited to a modern home. Available in PVCu and Aluminium.
Sliding Patio Doors
Large sliding panes of glass have been popular for over 40 years and their ease of use combined with minimal loss of space make them perfect for enjoying maximum light and wide views out. Available in PVCu and Aluminium.
Bi-Folding Doors
Aluminium bi-folds enable entire walls of glass to completely open and effectively opening your home onto a patio or into your garden. This ‘open living’ offers a seasonably exotic way to enjoy our homes and gardens. Available only in Aluminium.
Glazing Styles
There are three principal door systems for patios and gardens - traditional French doors in PVCu and Aluminium, the sliding patio door, also in PVCu and Aluminium or, the more recent addition of the aluminium sliding, bi-folding doors.
Astragal Bars
The astragal bar is installed on the inner and outer face of the glass in such a way that it emulates the individual window panes that would have been used in traditional British window designs. Typically referring to the Georgian period but does overlap with other eras.
Georgian Bars
Georgian bar windows are set inside the sealed unit, which means that they are sandwiched in between layers of glazing. Rather than being added to the glazing, they are sealed within the glazed unit interior to achieve the appearance of Georgian bars.
Leaded Lights
As with Georgian and Astragal bars - leaded lights emulate the original glazing designs dating back to 16th century and glass could only be made in small panes - strips of lead enabled the small panes to be joined together to form larger windows.
